MLB, Step Up To The Plate

Smokeless tobacco has long been associated with baseball, but if Commissioner Bud Selig has his way, dip and chew will be banned in the Major Leagues starting in 2012.   It is estimated that 33% of players in the MLB use chewing tobacco.  Smokeless tobacco has been banned from the Minors since 1993.   Public health officials from 15 Major League cities, as well as two senators, sent letters to Selig’s office calling for a ban on smokeless tobacco
